National parks in Drenthe

Dwingelerveld

Het Dwingelderveld is located in the southwest of Drenthe, about a 45-minute drive from holiday park Het Land van Bartje. The landscape here is very diverse and varied. The most famous is the quiet heathland, the largest and wettest heathland in Western Europe.

2. Drents-Friese Wold

The forests of the Drents-Friese Wold are located on the border of Southwest Drenthe and Southeast Friesland, about 50 kilometers from Het Land van Bartje. With over 130 kilometers of walking trails, you can discover a varied landscape of dense forests, heathlands, and drifting sand.

Drenthse Aa

Het Land van Bartje is located at the edge of the forest near Ees (municipality of Borger-Odoorn), in the middle of nature. From the park, you can easily walk and bike into the surrounding area, with direct access to the most beautiful MTB routes in Drenthe. You will also find a special UNESCO area nearby.

Hondsrug and Drouwenerzand

Here you'll find dolmens, fens, and the beautiful tree-top path. The Drouwenerzand is a sand drift with old trees and juniper bushes.

Norgerholt

In the Land of Bartje area, you'll find a rare “primeval forest” with ancient oak and holly trees. This is the oldest forest in the Netherlands.

Orvelterzand

Here you will find a beautiful heathland and walk among the Highland cattle. Please note: dogs are not allowed here. You will also find our sister park, Landal Orveltermarke.

4. Bargerveen

In the Municipality of Emmen lies a unique piece of nature. An immense peat area that once covered more than 3,000 square kilometers.

5. Fochteloerveen

On the border of Friesland and Drenthe, you'll find the 18-meter-high observation tower, offering a great impression of the vast landscape.

6. Holtingerveld

A little further from Het Land van Bartje, you'll discover a hilly landscape where nature and history come together. You'll find traces of the war here, like bomb craters, but also impressive dolmens.

7. Mantingerveld

This is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful heather areas in Drenthe. Enjoy the tranquility and walk past heather sheep, cows, and Shetland ponies. You'll also find the beautiful Juniper Route here, a walking route that leads you through this special landscape.

8. Blue Lake - recreational lake

It is wonderfully quiet here, especially outside the peak season. The swimming pond is sheltered by trees and has a nice, shallow sandy beach. Please note: access costs €3 per person. Payment is by debit card only, and there is plenty of parking.

Children's Party Cancellation Policy

We reserve special time, staff, and materials for your children's party. Therefore, we have the following cancellation policy:
  • Free cancellation within 72 hours of booking.
  • For cancellations made up to 14 days before the scheduled party date, 25% of the agreed-upon total amount will be charged.
  • For cancellations made between 14 days and 48 hours before the scheduled party date, 50% of the agreed-upon total amount will be charged.
  • If you cancel within 48 hours of the scheduled party date, the full amount (100%) is due.
Cancellations must be communicated in writing via email. The date and time of receipt are considered the time of cancellation.

If you fail to show up at the agreed-upon date and time without prior cancellation, 100% of the agreed-upon amount will also be charged.
